Possible aeration at Dean Lake in January or February

The Dean Lake Improvement Association would like to advise that it may be operating an aeration system on Dean Lake in Wright County. The aeration system will be used to maintain fish populations.

Signs will be posted at the public access and surrounding the aeration site when the system is operating. Testing of dissolved oxygen has begun to determine whether or not aeration is necessary. If aeration is needed, it could begin in January or February.

Because of the area of open water created by aeration, extreme caution should be taken by fishermen, hikers, skiers, snowmobilers, ATVS, and others for the remainder of winter.

Questions regarding this process may be directed to 612-386-1392, or 763-229-4536.
