Linda Anderson, 69
Linda Murphy Anderson, age 69, passed away on July 26, 2026. Linda was born in St. Louis, Missouri, to parents, Edwin and Alberta Murphy, on September 18, 1956.
Among many things, Linda was well known for her love of gardening and animals, in particular birds and dogs, in which she had run her own dog-training business.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Alberta Murphy; and her sister, Kathleen Maier.
Linda is survived by her husband, Paul Anderson; and her brothers, Colin Murphy and Michael (Lori) Murphy.
Linda will be deeply missed by all those who love and care for her.
An open house celebration of life for Linda was held Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo, Minnesota.
Stephen Anderson, 79
Stephen Gary Anderson, age 79, of Buffalo, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2026, surrounded by his family. Stephen was born on January 2, 1947, in Minneapolis to Howard and Georgiana (Gehrey) Anderson, of Maple Plain. A 1964 Orono High School graduate, Steve trained at Dunwoody Institute and enjoyed a distinguished 42-year career as a commercial electrician with IBEW Local 292. On September 2, 1967, he married the love of his life, Sandra Haverty, at St. Francis Xavier in Buffalo. Steve served his community as a Jaycees Statesman, Knights of Columbus member, and the initial Commander of the Buffalo Police Reserve (1987–2002).
He gave countless hours coaching football for his sons, Eric and Joel, coaching softball for his daughter, Molly, and enthusiastically being a devoted dance dad. Steve embodied a father’s true commitment, meeting each child as they were with utmost dignity, respect, and compassion. Above all else, Steve cherished his family. He was a proud “Bapa” who cheered on his grandkids from stands, fields, audiences, and parade routes. He introduced his kids to ice fishing and life on the boat, and family will always remember his signature side-hug and gentle back pat.
Steve loved trips to Jamaica and the North Shore, always advising: “Take the trip!” An avid Star Tribune reader and Consumer Reports loyalist, he enjoyed garage projects, daily walks with Sandy, and standing beside his bride as the last couple on the dance floor during his grandkids’ anniversary dances.
In his later years, Steve faced Lewy Body Dementia with remarkable courage and quiet strength, continuing to let his love for family shine every day.
He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Shaun; and parents, Howard and Georgiana. Steve is lovingly survived by his wife of 58 years, Sandy; children, Eric (VJ), Joel (Jen), and Molly (Ryan) Garrett; 11 grandchildren, Dacotah (Carly), Haley (Jordan), Alex (Ashley), Micah (Courtney Hall), McKenzie (Chad), Joey (Tori), Carly (Blane), Jordan, Kaya, Jonah, and Julian; three great-grandchildren, Colburn, Samuel, and Neela, and future generations who will carry on his legacy; siblings, Madelyn Meads and Conrad Anderson; abundant nieces and nephews; and dear friends spanning eight decades.
Evening visitation was Tuesday, August 4, 6:00–8:00 P.M. (7:30 P.M. Rosary) at The Peterson Chapel, Buffalo. Mass of Christian Burial was Wednesday, August 5, 11:00 A.M. Sandra “Sandy” Ann Greninger (Buschel), 67, of Otsego, Minnesota, passed away July 28, 2026, surrounded by family. Born December 29, 1958, in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, to Bob and Corinne Buschel, she grew up in Monticello, Minnesota. She married Chuck Greninger on August 12, 1978; the two later settled in St. Michael before moving to Otsego in 2018.
Sandy spent 26 years with Family Youth Community Connections (FYCC), serving St. Michael, Albertville, and beyond, retiring in September 2025. Over her life, she survived three separate cancers, passing away following complications from surgery to remove the third.
She loved fishing, traveling, crocheting, cards, cooking, bowling, and above all, her family. A member of St. Albert’s Catholic Church, her signature phrase was simply, “Be Good.”
Sandy is survived by her children, Chelsea (Bray) Wheeler, Lacy Greninger, Max (Ashley) Greninger, and Bob (Jessica) Shoup; grandchildren, Landon, Decatur, Em, Jaxson, Connor, Cullen, JoJo, Aayla, and Teddy; siblings, Nancy (John) Zavaleta, Roberta (“Berta”) Shoup, Michael (“Sac”) Buschel, and Barry (Lori) Buschel; her dog, Lily; and many in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles (“Chuck”) Greninger; her parents; her parents-in-law, Donald and Phyllis Greninger; Molly the DA; and other family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, August 11, at 11 a.m. at Saint Henry’s Catholic Church, 1001 East 7th Street, Monticello, MN, with Father Joe Zabinski as celebrant. Burial follows at St. Albert’s Cemetery, 11997 Lymon Avenue NE, Albertville. Visitation is Monday, August 10, 5–8 p.m. at Peterson Chapel, 300 North Main Street, St. Michael-Albertville Funeral Home. George Kettenacker, 85
George Albert Kettenacker, 85, of Richville, Minnesota, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Perham Living Nursing Home in Perham, Minnesota.
George Albert Kettenacker was born on February 16, 1941, in Robbinsdale, Minnesota, to Walter and Irene (Lemmerman) Kettenacker. He was baptized at Cross Lutheran Church in Rockford, Minnesota. George graduated from Rockford High School in 1959. He worked on his father’s farm raising beef cattle, horses, and growing various crops. George also worked for Mammoth Industries as an electrical assembler full time while helping on the farm part time.
Growing up on the farm and around horses instilled a deep love and appreciation for them. He also enjoyed anything outdoors like hunting, fishing, and trapshooting. George was an avid bowler and joined many leagues over the years. He played cards with family and friends and enjoyed dancing.
On August 16, 1996, George was united in marriage with Carol Knutson at Cross Lutheran Church in Rockford. The couple made their home in Richville, Minnesota, in 1999 where he resided until his passing.
George is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Irene; and his brother, Dennis Kettenacker.
Deeply loved, George’s passing will be mourned by his wife of 34 years, Carol; his children, Michael (Chrissy) Kettenacker, Mark (Angell) Kettenacker, and Stacey Kettenacker; stepchildren, Reenay (David) Ranallo and Dorothy Fix; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Dent, Minnesota, with a visitation one hour prior at the church. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery in Rockford, Minnesota. A Celebration of Life Open House was held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at The Red Vest in Rockford from 12 p.m. – 4 p.m.

DeVan Marschel, 61
DeVan “Charlie” Marschel, age 61, of Monticello, died Sunday, August 2, 2026, at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 10, 2026, at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Annandale with Fr. Kevin Magner as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00-6:00 p.m. on Sunday at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Annandale with a prayer service at 5:30 p.m. Visitation will continue at 9:30 a.m. on Monday at the church.
DeVan Ervin Marschel was born on December 2, 1964, in Saint Cloud, Minnesota, to Benjamin and Delores (Looman) Marschel. He grew up in Annandale, surrounded by his eleven siblings. Charlie graduated from Buffalo High School. He worked for Functional Industries.
Throughout his life, Charlie found joy in simple pleasures. A devoted enthusiast of television, he held a special fondness for “Sesame Street,” with Bert and Ernie being his favorites, often seen collecting memorabilia that celebrated these beloved characters. Equally, he found excitement and camaraderie competing with fellow athletes in the Special Olympics, celebrating his achievements and the friendships formed along the way. Charlie was a comfort food connoisseur, regularly pairing hot dogs and peanut butter cups with Pepsi.
Charlie is survived by his siblings, Karen Oberg, of Buffalo, Duane (Sherri) Marschel, of Winter Gardens, FL, Dave (Donna) Marschel, of Annandale, Dennis Marschel, of Buffalo, Doug (Coleen) Marschel, of Boseman, MT, Darrel Marschel (fiancée, Roberta Monk), of Annandale, Judy (Guy) Negley, of Maple Lake, and Don (Dorothy) Marschel, of Buffalo; special caregivers, Deb and Nell; many nieces and nephews along with their families, other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Dean and Danny Marschel, and Linda “Lyn” Baker; and siblings-in-law, John Oberg, Cindy Marschel, and Mae Marschel.

Dolores Robeck, 92
Dolores Margaret Robeck passed away peacefully on July 30, 2026, at Lake Ridge Oasis in Buffalo.
Born June 11, 1934, to Clem and Christine (Wey) Zachmann in St. Michael, MN. She was the youngest of seven children. She loved her siblings very much, they spoiled her, always supported her, and had so much fun together.
She often commented on how hard it is to be the last one left; she missed them so much.
Dolores graduated from Buffalo High School in 1953; she looked forward to annual class reunions and was proud of attending her 73rd reunion last year.
On her birthday, June 11, 1955, she married Omer Robeck at St. Michael Catholic Church. Together, they raised their four children in Brooklyn Center, MN. A homemaker for much of her life, she was a fussy housekeeper, her home was always neat as a pin. It was fun for her children to move something out of place just to see how long before she noticed it; it was never very long! She was a good cook, known for some of her German dishes and famous chicken and dumplings, a talent learned from her mother. Though she never drove, it was amusing that she could always tell you how to get anywhere.
In her early years she loved bowling, dancing at Medina, and playing cards; Smear and Euchre. Both her and Omer worked as custodians for several years at a church close to their home. She enjoyed working there and continued after Omer passed until her retirement. She moved back to her hometown of St. Michael in 2008.
Known for her great memory, she loved socializing and sharing stories from long ago. In 2025, she moved to Lake Ridge Assisted Care Center in Buffalo so she could be closer to her daughter. She loved her new home, visiting with old and new friends, and appreciated all the great care from the staff.
Over the years, she battled many health issues but always overcame each illness or hospital stay. She loved life and enjoyed laughter, whether at TV sitcoms, game shows, celebrations, family gatherings, or her much anticipated birthday each year.
Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, Omer, of 46 years. Her parents, Clem and Christine Zachmann; sisters, Annabelle Kons and Eileen Champeau; her brothers, Bernard, Emmett, Octave, and Carroll Zachmann; and by many other Zachmann and Robeck relatives and dear friends.
She is lovingly survived by her children; Laurie (Michael) Holthaus, Tony, Paul (Nancy), and Tom Robeck; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Catherine Zachmann, Maureen Zachmann, Joan Hiltner, Dolores (Richard) Robeck; and many nieces and nephews.
She will be remembered for her zest for life, sense of humor, strength in adversity, and devotion to her family. She will be deeply missed by many.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for Dolores Robeck will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Buffalo.
A visitation will be held on Friday, August 7, AT THE CHURCH from 9:00 A.M. until time of Mass.
Inurnment will be held on Tuesday, August 11, at 10:30 A.M. at Fort Snelling National Cemetery Assembly Area #6.
