Steven Adair, 69
Steven Daniel Adair was born on July 29, 1953, in Grand Forks, ND. He graduated from Morehead, MN, Senior High School in 1972. After high school, Steve went to earn his bachelor’s degree from the University of MN in psychology and social work. Steve joined the Army in 1975 as a paratrooper with the 101st Airborne Company and as a company clerk; he was stationed at Fort Campbell, KY. Steve started work as a manger and cook for Denny’s until he met his wife, Nancy, of 39 years, and two boys (Alphonse and Christopher) in 1983 , then moving back from Kansas to Minnesota to get married and start his family in 1983. Then, Steve started his career as a social worker for Atkin, Hennepin, and Wright Counties in 1985, for a total of 10 years as a licenser for child and adult foster care and child protection, until 1994, when he switched careers to be an adult foster care provider for another 27 Years, until his retirement in 2020.
Steve loved his wife, Nancy, and they enjoyed traveling, sailing, the Timberwolves, and being outdoors in Sturgis Park in Buffalo. Steve also loved being with his sons, Al and Chris, and their families with a total of six grandchildren and staying involved with both of his sons’ adult foster care business and the community he fought hard to make a better place in every way until his death.
Steve passed peacefully on May 15, 2023, from natural causes at home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Daryl and Margaret Adair; sister, Lynn Leach; and son, Daryl R. Adair.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Adair; sibling, James Adair; sons, Alphonse and Christopher Adair; grandchildren, Kristopher, Crayton, Penelope, Nickolas, Sandra, and Hazel.
On Saturday, June 10, 2023, a Celebration of Life will be held at Sturges Park in Buffalo, MN, at 3:00 p.m. Internment at Fort Snelling will be at a future date. In lieu of flowers, memorials made by given to family or charity of your choice in Steven’s honor.
Beverly Barringer, 95
Beverly (Elliott) Barringer, age 95, of Buffalo, passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2023.
She was born on October 10, 1927, to Harvey and Nellie (Varner) Elliott.
Bev was the first daughter in a family of six boys and four girls.
She graduated from Buffalo High School in the Class of 1946.
Bev was employed as a receptionist for forty years at Mono-Trade Company in Minneapolis.
Bev married Roger Barringer on October 1, 1949, at The Buffalo Presbyterian Church. They were blessed with and survived by one son, Scott (Barb) Barringer, of Prior Lake, MN; three grandchildren, Justin (Lindsey) Barringer, of Lakeville, MN, Jenny (Chris) Campbell, of New Prague, MN, and Steve (Becca) Barringer, of Richfield, MN; great-grandchildren, Hayden and Lyla Campbell, Ruby, Grace and Winston Barringer; a brother, Tom (Emmy) Elliott, of Benson, Arizona; sisters, Pat Olson and Zella La Liberte, of Edina, MN, Ginny (Vance) Russell, of Bloomington, MN; sisters-in-law: Clare and Barb Elliott and Rosie Barringer; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roger; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rodger (Dolly), Douglas (Mary), Donald (“Glo”), Duane “Porky,” and Bruce Elliott.
A Memorial service for Beverly Barringer will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at The Buffalo United Methodist Church. Pastor Bill Reinhart will officiate.
Interment at a later date at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 9, AT THE CHURCH one hour prior to services.

Faye Foss, 85
Faye Janice Foss (Abendroth), 85, of Cold Spring, MN, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2023. The family was blessed with the opportunity to spend Faye’s last days in her company sharing short conversations, time of quiet companionship, and in the end, sweet smiles.
She was born to Arthur and Frances Abendroth on December 20, 1937. She was married to her loving husband, William (Bill) Foss, for 65 years. She was a farmer for many years in Maple Lake, MN.
Faye was a role model of how to live a full and good life. She loved people and demonstrated this love consistently throughout her life, forging friendships that lasted a lifetime. Her tenacious spirit and loving character will be missed greatly.
Faye is proceeded in death by her mother and father; and sisters Sue, Carol, and Barbara.
She is survived by her husband, William (Bill) Foss; her three children, Steve (Rose) Foss, Pamela (Kim) Foss, and Sheryl Malark; as well as several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her sister, Bette Abendroth; and brothers, Tom (Louann) and Jerry (Rosalie) Abendroth.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, June 3, at 12:00 P.M. at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Cold Spring, MN. A visitation took place one hour prior, and a luncheon followed the service. Nancy Robinson, 83
Nancy Blanche Robinson (née Koplin / Bischoff), August 18, 1939–May 31, 2023
Nancy Blanche Robinson passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at age 83.
The daughter of Julius and Blanche Koplin, Nancy was the youngest of six children. A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she will be dearly missed by her loved ones.
Nancy, born in Red Wing, Minnesota, nurtured a great love for her hometown. She grew up working in the Red Owl grocery store owned by her parents and was a proud graduate of Red Wing High School. She treasured her older siblings and especially admired her older brother Bob, a Korean War veteran. Nancy was an accomplished musician, playing both flute and piano. She was passionate about swimming and later worked as a lifeguard.
Nancy was a woman of many talents and shared these skills with others through a variety of pursuits throughout her life. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in dental hygienics and would later work as a dental hygienist, store owner, realtor, receptionist for a law firm, worked for the Minnesota Secretary of State, and was a secretary for Congressman John Kline. She spent her life in service to her community, her family, and her church.
Her greatest joy was spending time with family. Nancy married Tyrus Bischoff Jr. in 1961, and they had four children together, Tyrus III, Robert, Matthew, and Michelle. She later became a grandmother to Blake, Bailey, Brynne, and Amelia, and enjoyed many happy days with her children and grandchildren at her lakeside home.
In 2005, Nancy married the love of her life, Gordon Robinson, and gained stepchildren, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren whom she cherished. Nancy and Gordy made their home in Minnesota and Texas, traveling, visiting family, and enjoying the best of their golden years together.
Nancy was loved by all she met. She was warm, inviting, and everyone she interacted with felt seen and cherished. Her love for God and her family was inspiring, and the sunshine she brought to others’ lives will be missed.
She is survived by her adoring husband, Gordon Robinson; brother-in-law, Don Fimon; sister-in-law, Vivian Koplin; sister-in-law LaRayne Johnson; brother- and sister-in-law, Curtis and Nancy Robinson; and her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Nancy’s life was held at Riverwood Covenant Church in Greenfield, MN, at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 5, 2023. Visitation began an hour earlier at 10:00 a.m. Lunch was served after the service and was followed by an internment at the Bailey Station Cemetery in Big Lake Township, MN.

Linda Solberg, 75
Linda Kay Solberg, age 75, of Buffalo passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at North Ridge Health and Rehab in New Hope.
She was born on November 17, 1947, in Buffalo, the daughter of Walter and Mabel (Ryti) Johnson.
Linda graduated from Annandale High School on May 28, 1965.
On April 19, 1968, Linda Kay Johnson and Myron W. Solberg were joined in holy marriage at The United Methodist Church in Annandale.
Linda was a kind, fun loving, and energetic person, an avid reader and collected cardinals. The Apple of her eye was her son, Corey! She enjoyed getting together with her family, nieces, nephews, and her friends. She was always ready for a party.
She was a faithful member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Montrose. Linda was strong in her faith. She taught Sunday School, belonged to Ladies Aid, and worked funerals. Linda and her son, Corey, cleaned the church also.
Survived by her loving husband of fifty-five years, Myron W. Solberg; son, Corey D. Solberg, of Willmar; a brother, Donald Johnson, of Osseo; other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents; and by her sister, Beverly.
Funeral services for Linda Solberg will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at 1:00 P.M. at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Montrose. Pastor James Grabitske will officiate.
Interment will follow at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 10, one hour prior to services AT THE CHURCH.
Honorary Casket Bearer: Adell Seanor.
Casket Bearers will be Bryon Bonk, Fred Bonk, Steve Johnson, Mike Olson, Sue Schiro, and Jean Solberg.

Leona Yoder, 103
Leona Yoder, age 103, of Buffalo, MN, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2023.
Leona was born in McPherson County, and raised on the farm in Hosmer, South Dakota. She attended Business School in Minneapolis and worked in Watertown, Huron, and Rapid City, South Dakota.
She met and became engaged to Ray Yoder; however, did not marry until 1950 after Ray returned from the war. Leona stayed home to care for the three children while Ray travelled for work. Having lived in Minnesota and South Dakota, they settled in Buffalo, Minnesota, where they bought the Coast-to-Coast Hardware Store. Early retirement in 1974 allowed them time to travel the US, attend spiritual retreats, and enjoy their condominium in St. Petersburg, FL.
Leona moved to her apartment at Park View Assisted Living in 2017 when Ray entered the adjoining nursing home. She dedicated her days to visiting Ray until he passed a year later.
While residing at the community living center, Leona blossomed. She enjoyed all her new friends and staff and took part in all activities. She was a simple lady that did not need much and had a keen sense of inner peace. She kept her quick wit and lovely sense of humor until the end of her life.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, Raymond Yoder; daughter, Carol Ann; sister, Lorina Forkel; and parents, Jacob and Bertha Kranzler.
She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Linda (Kevin) Olson and Peggy (Ron) Olson; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A private service will be held. In lieu of flowers, pay it forward; do a kind deed for someone in need.
