Ed Keith, 81
Ed Keith, 81, of Buffalo, MN, died February 21, 2023, at Abbott Hospital.
He leaves his loving wife, Linda, and children; one brother; and his special dog, Charlie. He was a wonderful caring man.

Robert Larson, 79
Robert “Bob” William Larson, born to “Skip” and Margaret (Staples) Larson on March 14, 1944, in Rochester, MN, passed away peacefully at the age of 79 on January 11, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Bob attended John Marshall High School and proudly graduated with the class of 1962. Following a brief stint at Mankato State College, he answered the call to serve and enlisted in the United States Army Reserve, demonstrating his patriotism and love for his country.
In 1968, Bob married his high school sweetheart, Jennifer Torgrimson, in Rochester, MN. Together, they embarked on a journey that spanned over five decades, creating a lifetime of cherished memories.
Bob’s professional journey led him to a long career with Valspar, where he dedicated over 25 years of hard work, ultimately retiring as a respected National Sales Manager. His dedication for his work left a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to work alongside him.
An avid outdoorsman, Bob found joy as an active member of the local Bison Fishing Forever group. Countless hours were spent on the lake, creating memories and friendships that would last a lifetime. Bob also served as the Commander of the Buffalo American Legion Post 270. Bob was also a member of The Forty and Eight. His dedication to the community and his fellow veterans was unwavering.
Bob’s daily ritual included breakfast outings with friends and Jennifer. He formed close connections with waitstaff who anticipated his usual order with a warm smile. He also participated in twice weekly bingo outings with a lively group of friends. His presence at these gatherings was a source of joy; he often brought his unique blend of a dry sense of humor and charismatic personality to the table.
Bob was predeceased by father, Hilmer “Skip” Larson; mother, Margaret (Staples) Larson; and sister, Pat Fischer.
Bob is survived by wife, Jennifer; son, Mark (wife, Missy); daughter, Heather (husband, Chris); brother, Bill (wife, Judy); grandchildren, Cooper, Skylar, Thatcher, Jada, Mollie, Gracie, and Kali; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life in honor of Bob will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, from 11:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. at the Buffalo American Legion Post 270 in Buffalo, MN (304 10th Ave. S). The Celebration of Life will include a service, Honor Guard, and 40/8 Last Respects starting at 11:30 with visitation to follow. Inurnment with military honors will take place at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery in Rochester, MN.
Doris Neske, 89
Doris Louise (Doran) Neske, age 89, of Buffalo, MN passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Parkview Care Center.
Doris was born on March 29, 1934, in Waverly, MN, the daughter of Delbert and Vivian (Hohag) Doran. As a young child, her family moved to Quincy, IL, until 1942, when they moved to the Hohag farm near Waverly, eventually moving to Buffalo.
Doris graduated from Buffalo High School in 1952.
She married Herbert Neske on August 21, 1953, at St. John’s Lutheran Church. They first settled in Buffalo and later moved to the Neske family farmstead in Marysville Township.
Doris enjoyed working on and off the farm, including her early years as a telephone switchboard operator, as a secretary at Farm Bureau Insurance Agency for 37 years, and later at Coldwell Banker Burnett Realty—all in Buffalo. She also served the Maryville Township United Way as Secretary/Treasurer, Marysville Township Election Judge, Buffalo Hospital auxiliary volunteer, and with Herb, was an active member of Wright County Farm Bureau Association.
She was an active member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Buffalo, involved in many ways including the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, sewing quilts for the needy.
During the years Doris and Herb enjoyed their travels to Hawaii, Acapulco, Jamaica, and Arizona where they eventually bought a home in Apache Junction where they enjoyed 17 winters.
She is preceded in death by her son, Michael Neske; her parents; son-in-law, Mark Antil; brother, Donald Doran; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Herb Neske; her children, Nancy (Chuck) Owen, Jill (Gary) Marketon, Jan (Gordy) Paumen, Dave (Ruth) Neske, Julie Piram; 12 grandchildren and two step-grandchildren, Angie (John) Ryden, Aric Antil, Mandy (Tylor) Boland, Jessica (Ben) Zierke, Mitchell (Lyndsi) Paumen, Jacob Paumen, Darin (Tonya) Neske, Megan (Joe) Point, Melissa (Mark) Keskey, Matthew (Stacy) Piram, Daniel (Hanna) Piram, Rachel (Jeff) Lachermeier, Wade (Karie) Owen, Andrew (Else) Owen; 23 great-grandchildren; siblings, Jerry (Leann) Irwin, Barb (Doug) Peterson, and many other friends and relatives.
Many thanks to the staff at Parkview Care Center for the excellent care that Doris received during the past four years.
Funeral services for Doris Neske were held Sunday, February 25, at 3:00 p.m., visitation began at 1:00 p.m. at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Buffalo, MN. Pastor Chris Ryan officiated.
Interment followed at Lakeview Cemetery in Buffalo.
Casket Bearers were her grandsons, Aric Antil, Mitchell Paumen, Jacob Paumen, Darin Neske, Matthew Piram, and Daniel Piram.
Memorials are preferred.

Norvald Osland Jr., 97
Norvald Arthur Osland Jr., age 97, of Rockford, MN, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2024.
Nord was born the son of Norvald Sr. and Mildred (Elg) Osland on October 11, 1926, in St. James, MN.
After serving in the Military during WWII and Korea, Nord began a long career in education. He was a high school teacher in Owatonna, MN, and in Foley, MN. He was also a high school principal in Spring Valley, MN, and then finally in Rockford, MN, until he retired.
Nord was an avid golfer, even getting in a few holes this past year. He loved to go fishing and took many trips to NW Ontario, including his last one in June of this past year.
Nord is survived by son, David (Jennifer) Osland, of Minneapolis, MN; sister, Jackie Balstad, of Stillwater, MN; brother, Dennis Osland, of Knoxville, TN; also many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margot; sister, Donna Gaines; and brother, Owen Osland.
His family wishes to give special thanks and appreciation to the nurses and staff at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale that took such great care of him in his final days.
Celebration of Life for Nord will be held Friday, March 1, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service at Our Father’s Lutheran Church in Rockford, MN.
Interment will be at a later date in the Elmwood Cemetery in Rockford, MN.
Arrangements were entrusted to The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo, MN.
