Deck the Halls at Sturges Park kicks off the holiday season

Deck the Halls was back to normalcy this year, after COVID-19 affected holiday celebration plans last year. The event took place on Sat, Dec. 4 at Sturges Park in Buffalo. It was an event for the whole family full of joy and Christmas cheer.

Santa and his helpers made an appearance at Deck the Halls and had many visitors. There were wagon rides, carolers, live reindeer, hot chocolate, and warm bonfires.

Finding the perfect holiday gift was easy, with holiday shopping starting at 10:00 a.m. with many local shops to choose from to support small businesses.

There were many great photo opportunities for the family with costumed characters or festive backdrops. The tree lighting took place at 5:00 p.m. and was a sight to see for all.

Sponsors of this event included: Brenner Dental, Buffalo Legion, Cub Foods, Family Counseling Center, Lions Club, Penrad, Target, and Walmart.
