Jacqueline was born on August 3, 1947, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Imogene Mae Pickett. She was a woman who lived life on her own terms—bold, beautiful, opinionated, independent, and always ready to make those around her laugh.
Jacqueline had an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for creating, collecting, and surrounding herself with beautiful things. She loved antiques and spent much of her life pursuing the things she enjoyed. She owned and operated her own flower shop, combining her love of flowers with her natural talent for business and creativity. Later, she worked at Castle Rock Nursery, where she worked with orchids. She also worked with REM (adults with disabilities) for many years. She was proud of this work and made so many beautiful friendships with her clients!
She had a deep love for animals and spent time fostering animals through the Humane Society, always wanting to give them love, care, and a second chance.
Above all, Jacqueline loved her family.
She is survived by her loving husband, Kim Bohline; her children, Wendy LaPlant (Keith), Scott Heinecke (Kim), and Angie Halverson (Chris).
Through marriage, she was blessed with three beautiful children, Shannon Putikka, Robert Bohline, and Donald Bohline.
She was a cherished grandmother to Jake, Billy, Dareck, Sara, Meranda, Madi, Reese, Levi, Landon, Jacob, Mason, Astrid, and Ryden, and a beloved great-grandmother to Mila, Harper, Kinzlie, Fisher, Sutton, and Paxton.
Jacqueline’s family will remember her for her strong personality, her beautiful spirit, her humor, and the countless memories she created with the people she loved. She had a way of making people laugh—even when she was being completely and unapologetically herself.
Jacqueline also made a final, incredibly generous decision. In keeping with her giving spirit, she donated her body to the University of Minnesota Anatomy Bequest Program, allowing her final gift to contribute to medical education and research and potentially help future generations.
Jacqueline will be deeply missed by her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, many friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Though she may no longer be here to tell us exactly what she thinks, her laughter, her stories, her strength, and her unforgettable personality will live on in all of those who loved her.
