Maple Lake’s St. Patrick’s Day shenanigans

There’s an Irish blessing that says, “May your troubles be less and your blessings be more, and nothing but happiness walk through your door.”

Maple Lake’s 44th Annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration embodied this saying with a lively and successful parade on Saturday, March 13.

The sunny day drew hundreds of people to the drive-thru event, the line of vehicles winding through the neighborhood streets as families and friends waited for their turn to drive by the festive floats.

From local businesses, to royalty and law enforcement tributes, floats lined up from the intersection of Robin Ave. and 4th St. W, wrapping around to Birch Ave.

Smiles were not in short supply, and the event offered a taste of normalcy after a long winter of distancing from one another.
