Sugar Cookies

This recipe was included in a Wright Hennepin bulletin dated, December, 1987. I make them every Christmas and numerous times during the year.  They are the BEST!!!

1 cup butter

1 cup sugar

2 eggs

1 cup oil

1 cup powdered sugar

1 tsp. vanilla

Mix well and add:

4 cups plus 2 Tbsp. flour

1 tsp cream of tartar

1 scant tsp soda

1/2 tsp salt

Chill and roll into balls, flatten with glass dipped in sugar, Sprinkle with

colored sugar if desired. Bake 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees
