Claudia was a very, very special person who was warm and compassionate to all who she came into contact with. As her soul mate, I was privileged to spend almost 40 years with the lady and virtually never got tired of her company. She was a great mother and grandmother who loved the little ones.

Her humor remained intact until the very end—even as we ate pizza and took a family photo in the ICU entitled, “Claudia’s Last Supper.” The photo was taken the night before her last day on this earth. My heart hurts, but I feel comfort in that she is in the company of God. Thanks to all your prayers and support. It made these last 40 days more “bearable”.……………..Mel
