Katherine Cullinan, 62

Katherine “Kathy” Esther Cullinan, age 62, of St. Michael, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, November 7, 2020. She was born August 2, 1958, the daughter of Richard and Elva (Zachman) Weber.

Kathy graduated from Elk River Senior High with the class of 1976. She was a hard worker in everything she did.

Kathy was a lifelong, faithful member of St. Walburga Catholic Church in Fletcher, MN.

On September 30, 1978, Katherine Weber and Francis Cullinan were united in Holy Matrimony at St. Walburga Catholic Church. They were blessed with three children: Brandon, Lindsay and Frankie.

Kathy enjoyed shopping, always being able to find a good deal! She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She was a loving and thoughtful person, who always put her family first. She had a caring heart and was there to help others, even until her last days. Kathy and her “Kathyisms” will be missed.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Weber; parents-in-law, John R. and Mary E. Cullinan; and nephews, Markus Cullinan and Anthony Cullinan.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Frank Cullinan; mother, Elva Weber; children, Brandon (Christine) Cullinan, Lindsay (Richie) Saathoff, Frankie (Claire) Cullinan; grandchildren, Addyson, Jaxson, Owen, Cole, Drew, Royce; siblings, Keith (Jody) Weber, Nancy (Randy) Deisting; siblings-in-law, Rickie (Ed), Joanne, Chuck (Terese), John (Marcia), Peggy (Tom), Becky, Bob (Rachel), Ray (Amy); and many other family and friends.

A private family Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Mary Queen of Peace – St. Walburga Campus. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred and will be donated to a charity selected by the family.

Ralph Douglas, 84

Ralph Donald Douglas, age 84, of Montrose, and formerly of Waverly, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.

He was born on August 3, 1936 in Delano, the son of William Donald and Katherine L. (Tuckey) Douglas.

Ralph graduated from Howard Lake High School in 1954.

He honorably served his Country in The United States Navy aboard The USS Ingerham.

Ralph and his father ran the Tipperary Farm south of Waverly for many years, primarily focusing on dairy farming.  He was proud to have held the state record for soybean yield per acre for thirty years.

Ralph formerly served on The Howard Lake-Waverly School Board, as well as the Wright County Planning and Zoning Commission. He was a longtime Farm Bureau member.

Ralph enjoyed snowmobiling, playing poker, having morning coffee with friends at Red’s Café and collecting antique tractors.

He is survived by his children: Christy (Paul) Biss, Jeff (Teresa) Douglas, Michelle (Spencer) Dahl, Amy (Patrick Wheeler) O’Connell, Kelly (Jason) Taverna, Matthew (Kate) O’Connell and Chris (Lisa) O’Connell; fourteen grandchildren: Jack and Kyle Douglas; Logan and Lacey Dahl; Joseph, Anne and Lucia Wheeler; Jack and Cece Taverna; Will, Dan and Norah O’Connell; Lauren and Makenna O’Connell; a sister: Shirley Setterberg; and other relatives and friends.

Ralph was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Renee Douglas; his parents; and his sister, Patricia Davis.

A visitation was held at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo on Saturday, November 7, 2020 from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m.  A private family memorial service followed at 2:00 p.m. ending in a private interment at Kreidler Cemetery.

Carol LeGro, 67

Carol Lynn LeGro, of Buffalo, Minnesota went home to Jesus on October 29, 2020, at the age of 67.

Carol was born to Wanda and Wallace Wicklund on April 14, 1953. She married her high school sweetheart, Raymond LeGro in 1972. They were blessed with three children, Scott, Andrew and Kimberly.

She was well-loved and will be deeply missed by her family, especially her grandchildren, Alexa Rae (23), Carson LeGro (15), Halle Lu (10), Clayton (6.5), Graham (4), Gloria (10 months).

Carol was a devoted child of God, a devoted member to Zion Lutheran Church, a Vikings fanatic and a super Nana. She was recently diagnosed with lung cancer and her life on Earth was abruptly ended.

She was preceded in death by her own parents; her brothers, Paul, Wayne; and several grandbabies.

Her surviving family includes her beloved sister, Ramona Willis, Mark, Roland, and Nancy Wicklund. We rest in peace that she is pain free and happily before His throne.

Phyllis Ruff, 96

Phyllis Charlotte Ruff, age 96, of Monticello, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2020. She was born June 10, 1924, the daughter of William and Amelia (Peterson) Winters.

On June 27, 1942, Phyllis Winters and Harold Ruff were united in marriage. The two were blessed with three children: Gail, Ronald and Randy.

Phyllis enjoyed her careers candling eggs at Johnson Egg Factory in Monticello, as a bookkeeper with Ruff Auto Parts, and as a nursing assistant at the Buffalo Hospital. She was a hard worker who was kind with a somewhat feisty attitude. She enjoyed her bowling league, traveling with friends, going to casinos, morning coffee with friends, and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Monticello.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Ruff; parents, William and Amelia Winters; sisters, Gen Lusti, Ruth Cox, Alice Hamlett, Luella Ernst; and brothers, Arnold Winters, George Winters.

Phyllis is survived by her children, Gayle (the late Chuck) Stumpf, Ronald Ruff, Randy Ruff; grandchildren, Kevin (Luella) Stumpf, Brian (Deb) Stumpf, Kelli (Terry) Stenglein, Richard (Laurel) Ruff, Shawn (Ann) Ruff, Minta Ruff, Courtney (Mike) Wrona, Wendy Ruff (Nick), Brandon Ruff, Tanya Ruff; many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, family and friends.

A special thank you to the staff at CentraCare in Monticello for the love and care they gave to Phyllis over the last 10 years. So many individuals were kind and compassionate to her. Our family greatly appreciates everything!

A memorial service for Phyllis will be held at a later date.

 


Timothy Stine, 61

Timothy Richard Stine, age 61, of St. Michael passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at his residence.

He was born on January 18, 1959 in St. Paul, the son of Lester and Julie (Hanson) Stine.

Tim honorably served his Country in the United States Marine Corps.

He was employed for many years in plastics.

He enjoyed his cabin and taking pontoon rides on Big Wood Lake. Tim also was fond of model cars and airplanes, dancing, music and playing poker with his friends. As a young man, he was involved with waterskiing and downhill skiing and his love of animals.

He loved his family!

He is survived by wife, Renee J. Stine; children, Amy Stine (Josh), Ashley Stine and Michael Stine; step-children, Bailey Bertsch, Vincent Bertsch and Simon Bertsch; grandchildren, Riley, Mason, Autumn, Caleb and Koleton; a sister, Jenifer (John) Berg; a brother, Jonathan Stine; stepfather, Bela Maroti; Lisa Maroti, Kelly and Kevin Yamaguchi; former wife, Kim Stine; an assortment of nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, November 14 from 12:00-3:00 p.m.

A Private Family Memorial Service for Timothy Stine will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at The Peterson Chapel St. Michael-Albertville Funeral Home.
