Engagement

Watson-Hanks

Carla Watson, of Maple Lake, and William Kerber, of Louisiana, are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Alyssa Marie Kerber, to Justin Donald Hanks, son of Barbara and Donald Hanks, of Monticello.  

Alyssa graduated this year from St. Cloud Technical College from the nursing program and is currently working at North Clinic in Plymouth as an LPN.  

Justin is employed at Grayco in Rogers as a Magnum Assembler.

The two will exchange vows in Monticello on September 9, 2017. The couple will reside in Maple Lake. (P17, D20)


Reunions

BHS Class of 1950

The BHS Class of 1950 will hold their 67th Class Reunion on Thursday, October 5, 2017, at Huikko's Bowling & Entertainment Center located at 1207 Hwy. 25 N. in Buffalo. The restaurant is called "Bison Creek," located in the back of the bowling center.

Visiting starts at 11 a.m., lunch follows at 11:30 a.m.

BHS Class of 1960

The BHS Class of 1960 is having a get together on Thursday, September 7, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Huikko's, 1207 Hwy. 25 N., Buffalo, 763-682-4180.

Scholarships

The CHS Foundation

The CHS Foundation has awarded scholarships to Minnesota high school graduates. Each will receive a scholarship to help cover expenses associated with their freshman year of college.

Madeline Weninger, of Buffalo, a recipient of one of the scholarship, will be attending South Dakota State University and plans to major in Agricultural Education.

The CHS Foundation is funded by charitable gifts from CHS Inc., the nation's leading farmer-owned cooperative and a global energy, grains and foods company.
