Pitching in

Caroline's House (pictured above) is an orphanage on Fon-De Nég, Haiti. It provides shelter and care for 15 children, while also reaching out to the community's 300 other children as resources come in. With a staff of five individuals, the project is funded by Steve Vanoss, and others in the Wright County community, to make a difference and help children go to school. Steve Vanoss (pictured right), owner and operator of First Pitch in Maple Plain, visits Haiti six times a year in an effort to bring support to Caroline's House, a project he funded in summer 2016. Vanoss has a great love for Haitian children like Rebecca (pictured left). (Photo courtesy of Steve Vanoss)

Children like 12-year-old Jesica (top) and two-year-old Dexter (bottom) are residents of Caroline's House, in Haiti. Jesica is currently working towards her education, in hopes of becoming a lawyer to serve the people of her community. Dexter lives with his mother, who is an active worker for the home. The home houses approxmately 15 children, but there are over 300 in the community who need help to just provide basic, every day essentials like food, shoes, and clean water. Many of these children have never even had shoes, but thanks to Caroline's House, they do.
